Nature Conservation

I have a deep passion for nature and environmental protection and have been actively committed to these causes for many years.

My journey began as a child when I founded a Greenpeace Greenteam and planned various actions with friends to inform people about environmental protection. A standout moment was a trip to Berlin to convince politicians to attend an important international ocean conservation conference.

Today, I am an active member of NABU Frankenberg, where I contribute to a wide range of nature conservation activities. From building birdhouses and making apple juice from local orchards to helping with educational presentations about bats, my work is hands-on and community-oriented. As a former leader of the NAJU children group, I helped the kids to connect with nature, and I also co-led a school afternoon program on environmental awareness.

I’m particularly passionate about bat conservation. I regularly participate in bat population counts and have attended a workshop organized by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Fledermausschutz in Hessen (AGFH), where I learned how to catch and track bats for research purposes.

Beyond structured projects, I love being outdoors, exploring the natural world, and living sustainably in my daily life. Occasionally, I participate in Fridays for Future demonstrations, advocating for meaningful climate action.
